 Fishpond is a group of anglers with a deep connection to the Colorado land where they work and play. Based in Dillon, smack-dab in the middle of Summit County, the people at Fishpond have all the opportunity to generate ideas for products from experience, and then field-test them right out the back door. But this connection runs deeper than recreational product design. Fishpond, begun in 2000 by John Le Coq and David Thompson, takes seriously the intrinsic ties that exist between anglers and waters, and the company’s products – whether fly fishing tools, luggage, tackle packs, or other fishing accessories – all point to the connection between humans and the rest of the environment. Fishpond’s fly fishing equipment is thoughtfully designed and built to last, both out of a sense of duty to the customer, but – equally importantly, we feel – as an expression of corporate responsibility and environmental stewardship.
