Simms Fishing Products began in 1980 when long-time Jackson, Wyoming fishing guide John Simms parked his boat and opened his workshop, determined to revolutionize the manufacture of fishing waders and accessories. In the mid-eighties, Simms helped pioneer the production of neoprene waders, in the process opening a host of new fishing opportunities for dedicated anglers and guides. Later, in 1994, shortly after a move across the Yellowstone Plateau to Bozeman, Montana, Simms became the first company worldwide to begin constructing fishing waders of WL Gore’s revolutionary waterproof-breathable technology, GoreTex. Today, Simms continues its tradition of industry leadership, producing goods renowned for their consistent durability, thoughtful design, and almost ubiquitous favor with professional guides.
