Leland on the Patagonia Guidewater Waders:

The best of the best in fly fishing waders - Patagonia’s Guidewater waders are built to last with all the amenities needed for a comfortable and safe day on the water.

Leland on Specifications:

The Patagonia Guidewater Waders are made with a proprietary waterproof/breathable hydrostorm barrier and water repellent finish. They are designed to have more layers in the knees and butt for durability and lighter layers to minimize the weight. The 2011 fly fishing waders have the new updated waist mounted suspender system allowing conversion from chest to waist height providing quick relief without having to remove your jacket. The suspenders have locking sliders on the front and back offering security when either up or down. The legs are anatomically curved and the inside leg seams are positions away from the high wear zones for durability. The 3mm neoprene booties are lined with merino wool and for 2011 re-engineered to fit more like a sock. These waders have built in gravel guards with abrasion resistance scuff zones and a mesh strip to minimize water weight in and out of the water. Each gravel guide has an elastic cuff, a concealed stainless steel boot hook which secures to your boot and avoids catching line. Including a stretch wading belt with a quick release V-buckle which provides smooth function and adjustments.

Leland on Patagonia Waders:

The name "Patagonia" is known around the world by outdoor enthusiasts of all stripes. Since the introduction of their now-legendary line up of iron climbing tools and equipment as well as its original offering of durable clothing, most folks have identified Patagonia as the leader in outdoor goods manufacturing first and a fly fishing gear manufacturer second. But when the head honcho is as into fly fishing as Patagonia's founder, Yvon Chouinard, has been since day one, equating the company with fly fishing should be a no-brainer. Indeed, Patagonia's fly fishing waders are second to none and are built to last, just like anything Patagonia designs and brings to market. The most recent generation of Patagonia waders is particularly impressive, and at Leland, we're especially excited about the Watermaster Hip Highs, which afford hip boot-like lower leg wading protection in a featherweight and breathable package: perfect for travelers, creek anglers, and others who don't need chest high fly fishing waders. In this group, Patagonia has also brought out the Guidewater Waders, which are a part of their highest-end line of fishing apparel and equipment, built to perform at the level industry professionals demand, and which show all the promise of the Watermaster line. With offset inseams, a Y-Joint crotch, and an odor-shedding, highly-insulative grid of NZ merino wool laminated to the inside of the stockingfeet, the Guidewater Waders demonstrate a firm commitment to no-holds-barred construction and performance of the highest leve
