Leland on the Kids Fly Fishing Camp at the Sonoma Ranch
This summer, spend four fun-filled days at the beautiful Leland Ranch
in Sonoma, CA and discover the art of fly fishing! Learn to cast a fly
and to fish like a pro under the direction of Leland instructors as rainbow trout cruise the clear water of spring-fed ponds. Campers will become efficient casters, proficient knot tiers, fly tiers, and self-reliant anglers
with the knowledge of where trout live, what they eat, proper fly
selection/presentation, and the ability to put it all together when the
fish takes!*
*Leland Sonoma Fly Fishing Ranch utilizes safe TAG (touch and go) hooks for all fishing on Ranch property.

About your Instructors:
Rachel Andras travels the world with a fly rod for a living.
From trout to tarpon, steelhead to snook, the list of species under her belt makes even the most seasoned angler take notice. Truth
be told, the girl can flat out cast. Thankfully for the rest of us,
Rachel is equally at ease teaching the mechanics of fly casting as she
is presenting a fly to a tailing bonefish, and just as accomplished.
Rachel’s teaching methodology draws from a bachelor’s degree in
education, a Leland and Krieger centered approach to instruction, and
worldwide experience in presentation. Her
passion for teaching extends from the young to the young at heart, from first loops to D loops, and from water hauls to double hauls.
Carrie Roche grew up right here in Sonoma wine country!
Since 2005, she's been active in teaching Northern California youth and adults in the fundamentals of the fine sport of fly fishing. Carrie brings a lighthearted and fun approach to Kid's Camp and all other aspects of her work at Leland.
