private fly casting instruction
Our Private Fly Casting Lessons are Available at Any Time
Tighten up your cast before you go on that trip of a
lifetime. Or follow any of our fly fishing education sequences at your own rate with one on one attention from an instructor.
Casting well will not only improve your
angling -- it will make your fishing day much more enjoyable, even
if the fish are scarce. At Leland we teach a compact vertical casting stroke, because it's successful and easy to learn. Modern graphite fly rods today are designed to
perform best with this style of casting. In fact, we've designed a series of fly rods, the Sonoma Series, to make the most of the efficient body mechanics we teach.
After one of our private fly casting lessons, you'll be able to appreciate the engineering of your fly rod and have the
rod perform better for you with less effort. If preparing for a trip,
we recommend investing the time to learn to cast accurately and
efficiently at various distances and in wind. Better casting will pay
dividends in fish caught and overall enjoyment on the water.
