At Leland, we believe an efficient casting stroke translates into more enjoyable and productive fly fishing experiences. Designed specifically to complement our casting instruction, Fishing with Leland links casting skills to guided fishing.
Offered at the Leland Ranch, stunning views of the Sonoma Valley and Mayacma Mountains serve as a perfect backdrop to our private trout fishery. McKenzie boats provide unlimited access to the stillwater and an ideal platform from which to target cruising rainbows. Under the direction of a professional guide, the goal of each session will involve integrating the Leland Casting Method with proven technique to gain the confidence and “know how” to put fish in the net! Take your next step in fly fishing education with us and jump start the journey to heightened angling adventure.

Leland's Jim Andras
Having guided in
Russia, Mongolia, Alaska and Chile, Jim Andras now plies the waters of
northern California and southern Oregon. Dry in humor and humble in demeanor, Jim commands a
loyal following of repeat clients year after year, but is always looking to share his love of fly fishing with new folks. Jim is
kind, gentle, and pretension-free, and his trips in the northern Bay Area represent the
ideal next step after one of our intro classes at the Ranch.
