Tad foster art

The newest addition to Leland's art library, Tad Foster's work has been drawing a lot of stares lately in our San Francisco shop. His Trout Painting beautifully captures the unconquerable spirit of the rainbow trout that has earned it the dignified classification as the quintessential fly rod quarry. Tad's Trout Platter on scotch wood, both handmade and hand-painted, depicts a mature rainbow in the prime of life, with special attention paid to all the attributes of this regal fish that keep us up at night. With his version of the jet black spots, vibrant red stripe and blushed gill plate that define the rainbow, Tad has captured the essence of what may be the most graceful freshwater fish. Tad's respect for the angling culture and the fish we chase shines in both works, and his art will make a timeless addition to any living space, kitchen or fishing den.
